I think the reason why Rome 2 and Attila are lacking features during release is because of its reliance on mod support. This is not a rant for all you trolls out there but a reminiscent thought of mine. I am hoping that the next total war will be more like Medieval 2 in terms of diplomacy and historical events. I was hoping that Attila would be the same since they brought back family tree but other than that it was good despite missing some features that was present in previous total wars. Invasion of the mongols and timurids, call for a crusade and jihad, discovery of gunpowder, electing a pope, discovery of the new world, princess marrying, pope assassinated, spy infiltration and all other good stuff had its own unique cinematic. Event animations are plenty in Atilla but noithing compared to what was featured in Medieval 2. Attila tried to save the abomination that was Rome 2 by adding all these features that was already in Medieval 2.

Medieval 2 is a definition of a true total war game where every feature that you wanted from a historical themed game is there. No dlc's to pay so you can play your favourite factions aside from Kingdoms expansion which was pretty good so it was worth the pay. If your launcher's Mod Manager button is missing, head on over to TWC below and grab the Mod Manager Tool:Дownload that tool, unzip and run the exe, then select the mods you want to use and hit Launch. You may also see the Mod Manager button is missing from the Attila launcher, preventing you from starting the game with your mods active.
